open Blocked Account

For customers over the age of 18 who are applying for a visa to study or undergo vocational training in Germany: 

• Original valid passport (valid for at least 6 months) 

• Application to open an account (form BM01) 

• Documents proving that the customer is enrolled in a course in Germany: 

  • Letter of admission from a German university/college (conditional letter of admission); or 

  • Certificate of pre-registration for a place at a German university/college/language center; or 

  • Final notification from the application certification office (ASSIST certificate - “Final notification”). 

For customers over the age of 18 who are applying for a visa for other purposes (family visit, reunification, residence, etc.): 

• Original valid passport (valid for at least 6 months) 
• Application for opening a bank account (Form BM01) 

• Documents confirming the purpose of the visa application in Germany: 

  • Documents confirming the purpose of the visa application (as specified on the website of the German embassy for each visa category) 

  • or a copy of the entire visa application for the stay in Germany  

For minors under the age of 18: For minors under the age of 18, a guardian is required when opening an account. In addition to the documents listed under (i) or (ii), the following additional documents/information are required: 

• Application for account opening (form BM02)  

• Copy of the valid passport of the legal guardian in Vietnam and/or Germany. 

• Copy of the minor's birth certificate and a notarized English or German translation.  

For students/account holders who transfer money directly: 

• For students/account holders who transfer money directly: 

• Money transfer request (VietinBank form) 

• Request for confirmation of account balance (Form 05 - Formular05) 

• Account notification from VietinBank Germany branch to the account holder.

For relatives of students/account holders who transfer money: 

• Copy of documents proving the family relationship  

• Valid ID document of the person sending the money  

• Application for money transfer (VietinBank form)  

• Application for confirmation of account balance (Form 05 - Formular05) 

• Account notification from VietinBank Germany branch to the account holder. 

Option 1: Online account opening

1. Prepare the application documents in accordance with VietinBank's regulations.

2. Complete the documents and upload them via the ‘Blocked account opening’ link.

3. Receive the account number by email and in the system.

4. Transfer money to the account.

5. Receive the account balance confirmation by email and in the system.

Option 2: Direct opening at transaction points in Vietnam

1. Prepare the application documents in accordance with VietinBank's regulations.

2. Submit the application to open a blocked account at a VietinBank transaction point and pay the account opening fee.

3. Receive the account number by email.

4. Submit form BM05 (application for account balance confirmation) and transfer the entire amount to be blocked to the blocked account.

5. Receive the account balance confirmation by email.
