Option 1: Online account opening
Customers who wish to open a blocked account online should click on the button: “Open a blocked account now” and follow the instructions.

Option 2: Directly at the branch
Required documents:
- Original valid passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- Residence permit or temporary permit.
- Original registration certificate from the local authority (registration certificate, registration, etc.)
- Original notification of your personal tax number from the citizens' registration office (assignment of identification number).
- Certificate of study or enrollment certificate.
- Application for opening a blocked account or letter of appointment from the immigration authorities.
Steps for opening an account:
- Fill out the application for opening a blocked account at the Berlin/Frankfurt branch
- Receive the account information by email in Germany within 1-2 business days
- Transfer the required blocked amount to the VietinBank Germany account specified in the previous email.
- Send an email to “info@vietinbank.de” to notify us of the transfer and request confirmation of the account balance.
