Important Information regarding the Upgrade of our Core Banking System

Dear customers,

we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for banking with VietinBank as your custom is extremely important to us. This letter contains important information regarding our forthcoming banking system upgrade and details on certain changes impacting the services we offer to you. You are therefore recommended to read through this letter carefully.

Our banking system upgrade

We are pleased to inform you that we are in the process of upgrading our banking IT system in order to improve your banking experience with us.

Transitional suspension times

Whilst our preference is to achieve the transition without causing any disruption to your usual banking arrangement, we are writing to inform you that during the conversion period

- our ATMs
- online banking
- and counter services (including account opening, funds transfer and remittance services)

will not be available from Thursday, 20.10.2022 15:30 until Monday, 24.10.2022 09:00.

General information regarding transactions:
Please note that incoming payments from Friday, 21.10.2022, will not be processed until Monday, 24.10.2022.

If you have set up a direct debit to automatically deduct the loan repayment from your nominated bank account, you do not need to do anything apart from having sufficient funds in your account for settling your loan repayment obligations.

New online banking data

You will receive new log-in credentials for the new online banking via postal mail. Further information will follow in a separate letter.

New Maestro card

You will also receive a new Maestro card and a new PIN via postal mail by Monday, 14.11.2022. As long as you have not received any separate information about this, your current card is still valid.

Your action is required:

To make sure that your new Maestro card, PIN, and online banking data will arrive safely at the correct recipient, we require your support. Please check whether your postal address, that is currently stored with us, is still correct. If this is not the case, please inform us about your new address by Wednesday, 05.10.2022 at the latest.

We apologize in regards to any inconvenience that might be caused and thank you for your patience and understanding which will assist in making our IT upgrade and integration process as smooth as possible. Our bank and our staff will be available to you again during the usual business hours on Monday, 24.10.2022 with advice and assistance.
